Online poker has become world acclaimed as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years many variants on the earliest poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely resembling twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the dealer instead of each other. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no bluffing or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up just before the croupier saying "No further bets." At that point, both you and the bank and of course all of the other players are given five cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call wager or give up. The call bet’s value is on same level to your original bet, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your wager goes immediately to the casino. After the wager is the conclusion. If the dealer does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, including a sum in accordance with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The dealer pays cash even with your wager and controlled odds on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- 3-1 for three of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
