Pai Gow Poker is a current game with ancient origins. Built on the old Chinese tile game and the current American variation of poker, Pai Gow poker bands together the far east with the western in a great game for early level players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler versus the croupier, unlike almost all other poker games that players compete against other players. By betting against the dealer, beginner players don’t have to be concerned about other, more skillful gamblers taking their cash.
A further Pai Gow edge is the relatively leisurely game pace, novices will be able to take their time and plan while not having to make frenzied selections.
It’s also easier to wager on for an extended time with just a tiny bit of money after all, to lose, each of your hands must be under each of the casino’s hands.
Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards face up and the casino gets seven cards faces hidden.
A 5 card hand and a two card hand must be made from the seven cards dealt, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be higher than the casino’s.
