Web poker has become globally celebrated lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its TV ratings. Over the years many variants on the original poker game have been created, including a few games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no bluffing or different types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the different gamblers acquire 5 cards. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you have to in turn make a call wager or bow out. The call bet’s amount is akin to your original wager, which means that the risks will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantly to the dealer. After the bet comes the showdown. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your wager is given back, with a sum in accordance with the ante. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the dealer’s hand. The bank pony’s up cash equal to your original bet and set expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for two pairs
  • three to one for three of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • 20-1 for a four of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
