Poker has become globally celebrated recently, with televised events and celebrity poker game shows. The games universal appeal, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its television ratings. Over the years many variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with chemin de fer than traditional poker, in that the players bet against the casino instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of concealment. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the croupier announcing "No more bets." At that moment, both you and the dealer and of course all of the other gamblers acquire 5 cards each. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s initial card, you need to either make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your beginning bet, indicating that the risks will have doubled. Bowing out means that your bet goes directly to the casino. After the bet is the showdown. If the casino does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, with an amount on par with the initial bet. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The casino pays chips even with your original bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • fifty to one for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
