Online poker has become world acclaimed recently, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several variants on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of the above-mentioned games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely affiliated with twenty-one than old guard poker, in that the gamblers bet against the bank rather than each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little concealment or different kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the croupier saying "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other players acquire five cards. Once you have observed your hand and the dealer’s first card, you have to in turn make a call bet or bow out. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your original bet, indicating that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your wager goes instantaneously to the bank. After the wager is the showdown. If the bank does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a figure equal to the initial wager. If the casino has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The bank pony’s up chips even with your ante and set odds on your call bet. These expectations are:

  • Equal for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
