Online poker has become globally famous lately, with televised events and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit farther than its TV scores. Over the years many variants on the earliest poker game have been created, including some games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Regardless of the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the established poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up just before the croupier announcing "No more bets." At that instance, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other players are given 5 cards each. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your original wager, indicating that the stakes will have increased two fold. Surrendering means that your ante goes instantaneously to the bank. After the wager is the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is given back, with a sum equal to the original wager. If the house has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand beats the casino’s hand. The casino pays cash equal to your bet and controlled odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • four to one for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • 7-1 for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
