Gaming chips have been manufactured from a wide selection of materials in an almost infinite assortment of variations since the creation of wagering and the need to track winnings. The most familiar components employed at this time in the manufacture of cutting-edge poker chips are plastic, clay composite, and acrylics. Clay chips, the oldest of the bunch, have been manufactured in the US since the late 19th century.
Back in the 1800s, poker players seemed to use any tiny item with value imaginable. Early poker enthusiasts at times employed rough gold pieces along with chips – normally made of wood and clay. By the 20th century, poker chip designs began to employ a greater prominence, and the smooth edges of older chips were given up to chips with slits to hold them neatly piled up together.
There is little or no debate that poker has gotten bigger steadily in appeal ever since its origin in the 1800s. With the huge increase of net gaming and specialty TV shows, community interest in poker has feed the fire faster than ever before. Most people are first introduced to poker by television showssuch as "Celebrity Poker" or "Poker After Dark," and most will play their initial hands on the web. Regardless of online poker’s growth, nothing competes with the feeling of mixing weighty poker chips in your hands, throwing chips into the middle of a poker table, or creating high pilesstacks of chips after showing a winning hand.
